About Me

My name is Emmylou Williams, I am a Colorado-based art student and general enjoyer of the arts. I focus mainly on physical studio arts, but I am learning to dabble in digital art as well. I love bright colors, lots of details, intricate designs and experimenting with many different mediums. I am a second year art practices minor and have greatly enjoyed expanding my knowledge about art practices in the past few years. I love to hone my craft and I want to focus on a career involving art in the future.

In my work I hope to display themes of life, nostalgia, and my own unique experiences. I have been interested in art for my whole life and am excited to participate in the future of art and technology. I hope to combine my artistic practices with my anthropology major and use that particular set of skills in conjunction with one another. My goal is to constantly be inspired by the world around me.

In my life outside of art I enjoy my job as a barista, reading, consuming media and spending time with my rabbits. I frequently incorporate these interests into my works and draw immense inspiration from the media I consume, especially music and books. I think art draws from art, and I want to reflect that in what I do.
